Meet Dr. Sharlini Sockanathan

Dr. Sharlini Sockanathan was born and raised in North Jersey.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with minors in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Business from New York University.  She then earned her DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.  Upon completion of dental school, she went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Staten Island University Hospital.

She then practiced as a general dentist for three years in Texas before pursuing her passion for pediatric dentistry.  She returned to the east coast and completed her Pediatric Dental training at St. Barnabas Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident.  

Dr. Sharlini enjoys giving back to the community and has volunteered in dental outreach programs in Israel and Peru.

She is excited to be a part of Frederick Pediatric Dental Associates. Dr. Sharlini looks forward to educating her patients and families while bringing a smile into their lives by creating a fun dental experience!

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Sharlini enjoys traveling, baking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends!
