Meet Dr. Jhanavi Sivakumar

Dr. Jhanavi Sivakumar is a native of Frederick, Maryland, and has called this community home for over 20 years. A proud graduate of Urbana High School, she is thrilled to return and serve the community she has long been a part of as a pediatric dentist. Growing up in Frederick has given her a deep appreciation for the town, and she looks forward to making a positive impact on children's oral health in the area.

After high school, Dr. Jhanavi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular biology from Johns Hopkins University. She then completed her dental degree (DMD) at the University of Pennsylvania. Driven by a passion for pediatric dentistry, she completed her residency at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. She is especially excited to join the practice, which is family-owned and run by her father, as she continues the family's tradition of caring for children's smiles with dedication and compassion.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Jhanavi enjoys playing tennis and pickleball to stay active. She has a love for dance, specifically a style Indian classical dance called Bharatanatyam. She is also a huge foodie and is always eager to try new restaurants!

Returning to her hometown after years away at school feels particularly special. She is eager to meet new patients and be a part of the vibrant Frederick community.
